Commission FAQ’s

Please take a look at the FAQ for commission work BEFORE you get in contact. Information on both Leatherwork and Art commissions are listed below.

Leather Work

What items will you make?

Mainly larger items such as hand bags, tech cases, belts, cuffs and guitar straps.

What items WON’T you make?

Anything small- wallets and phone cases

I will CONSIDER anything not listed. Please get in contact.

I like one of your bags, but I want to change something. Can you do that?

Yes! I can ‘repeat make’ anything listed on the website. I can also make changes such as colour or patterns, e.g:

I like ‘Argo’ but I’d like it in black, can you do that?’

Yes!

I like the shape of ‘Argo’ but the pattern on ‘Dawn’, can you do that?

Yes!

I like the shape of ‘Dawn’ but the stitching on ‘Under the Dome’, can you change it?

Yes!

I have an idea for a bag/ item, can you make it?

I can certainly have a look. If you can provide me with a description and/or any reference images you have and a rough idea of size, that would be very helpful! I will certainly have a look and advise you on whether it is possible.

I found a pattern I’d like embossed, is it possible?

Maybe.

I specialise in more abstract and floral patterns. Please have a look at work for sale for an idea.

I DO NOT do ‘images’ such as dog or horse portraits. Please find another artisan!

If you need a starting point, I find tattoo patterns a good start- the bolder the better as I can add detail/ texture accordingly.

What is the commission process?

If I think your idea is possible, I will but a price list together based on materials cost and anticipated labour. P&P is extra- if you need this information, please provide a destination country.

HALF of this payment will be required UP FRONT. This is to cover materials costs. This is NONE REFUNDABLE.

I will then start work on your piece and endeavour to keep you informed of progress. Any changes that I have to make, I will inform you of. This may occur additional charges, of which I will inform you of an come to an agreement before work resumes.

Once completed, the remaining agreed balance will be due BEFORE the item is shipped.

How much will it cost?

Please have a look at other items for sale on the website. You commission will be priced similarly with possibly a little extra to cover design time.

How long will it take?

Once started, please allow 6-8 weeks. Smaller items may take a shorter time.

If you have a deadline, please get in contact before and I will advise.

Final notes

I really like you work, but I can’t afford to pay you. Will you make something for me and I’ll promote your work on my socials instead?!

Errr….. no.

I’m sure your socials and great, but only cold hard cash will cover my materials costs and put a roof over my head.

I pride myself on producing high quality work. I look upon each piece as something to expand my knowledge and experience and to add to my portfolio. I would not want to provide inferior work therefore may refuse work I think I am unable to produce to a high standard.

I reserve the right to refuse any work that includes insulting, offensive or inflammatory imagery.

Art Commissions

Do you take commissions for painting and drawing?

Yes.

But I am a lot more selective about what I take on. Anything thematically related to my existing work however has a better chance. Please have a look at work available on my website.

Do you do tattoo designs?

No! Because I am not a tattoo artist!

However, I can provide a painting or drawing for you to take to your chosen tattoo artist. They will know better then me what will work best on your skin.

Get in contact with your idea and any reference images you have and I’ll give you a yes or no. Let me know a rough size and media you would like.
